Saturday, September 27

Hey!

I hope all is well back home in the land of the free!

It's just a lazy Saturday morning here in Guadelupe. I can't believe how fast this week has gone by! Classes really make the days go by alot faster! I hope they continue to move quickly!

This morning a few other team members left to go to spend the day at a nursing home. The rest of us are going to another youth service at a church this afternoon.

Yesterday afternoon it was raining really, really hard so after class was over me and four other guys went running! We were running through runoff from the road that was up to our knees! We got soaked!

Last night we all went out to eat for one of the girl's birthdays. We all got dressed up and as we were walking to the restaurant it started pouring the rain again! Thankfully most of us had umbrellas! It was alot of fun!

I love you guys and thanks for the prayers! See ya in a few weeks!

Hey Bud!

Thanks for the great Costa Rican rain stories. I'm so glad you had your umbrella! At least for the dinner out. I guess you would have looked pretty silly running with the guys carrying your umbrella. Ha! Hope your youth ministry goes well today. Love you and miss you so much! Send pictures soon!

Hey Evan,

I am glad that you are doing so well. It is good that you have already made some friends. It also sounds boys will be boys tromping through the mud!

Is it rainy season there? Seems like when we were there (August 05) that it was either rainy season or almost rainy season. It wasn't pleasant when it would rain and we were in poor neighborhoods with open sewage running down the mountain.

The kids there love soccer. I remember when we took new soccer balls into a community and the children freaked out. It was sad when we ran out and all these kids were begging for a soccer ball.

Man, if you can ship a fresh papaya back to me I will give you 100.00 bucks--man those things were SOOOOOOO good. Here, they are like plastic and cost an arm and a legg.

Take care, Even and it is cool to see you growing while there, already.

Love'
